Het zou goed kunnen dat je nog nooit van “Wedding Vows” heb gehoord. De vertaling in het Nederlands is: trouwbelofte. In Amerika is het meer gewoonte dan uitzondering dat je een persoonlijke trouwbelofte schrijft en aan elkaar voorleest. Een persoonlijke trouwbelofte houdt in dat je de belofte toepasselijker maakt op jullie. Wat beloof je elkaar nou echt, waarom wil je samen oud worden? Waar werd je verliefd op? Wat is het leukste en wat het stomste aan de ander? Het is het mooiste als je deze beloftes allebei voor zich schrijft. Er zijn veel Amerikaanse sites waar je waar je inspiratie uit kunt halen!
TIP! Tori Spelling had een goed idee zij heeft hun persoonlijke trouwbelofte vooraf laten opnemen op een mooie locatie. ( zie foto boven aan) Ze lieten het filmpje met hun trouwbelofte tijdens hun ceremonie zien. Ideaal voor mensen die bang zijn dat ze hun tekst vergeten of dat ze te emotioneel worden!
Ik heb al wat voorbeelden op een rij gezet. Het zijn ook Amerikaanse voorbeelden. Als ik ze zou vertalen nar het Nederlands, dan haal je het meestal uit het verband, vandaar dat ik ze ook in het engels heb laten staan.
