The Canadian Cupcakery

The Canadian Cupcakery is a specialist in buttercream cake design since 2017, using North American recipes, we create beautiful wedding cakes, as well as cupcakes and cookies for your special day. We use modern techniques (ask us about our wafer paper flowers!) to create a beautiful designs unique to you with the highest attention to detail. 

Born out of our Canadian owner's frustration of not being able to find a cake that satisfied both looks and taste, we truly believe that cakes should taste just as good as they look (it's about more than just a photo for Instagram, right!?). During the ordering process, you will have an opportunity to try our cakes (and one of our Traditional Shortbread cookies too!) so you can feel confident in choosing us to create your cake and know just what we mean. 

But why only buttercream? Buttercream is a beautiful medium to work with and compliments our cakes well. It's a recipe curated by our founder to be perfectly balanced: not too sweet and fluffy like a cloud! 

We also offer cake stand rentals and will happily offer suggestions to help you in styling your cake table for, as they call it in Dutch, het perfecte plaatje! 

We are based in The Hague, and available for delivery across The Netherlands. Getting married abroad? Yes - it's also possible within Europe!
